The long, light days of summer may be fading into the distance, but that doesn't mean that the wedding invites have dried up. Deciding what to wear to such an occasion can be tough; so, whether you’re travelling to an extravagant destination or heading to the local community centre, here are two outfit ideas to help you celebrate in style.
When it comes to dressing for formal events, if you prefer a more traditional aesthetic then take a look at this ensemble. To start, go for a light-blue button-up and style it with a royal-blue patterned tie – florals continue to be big this autumn, so no need to switch it up. As for your suit, a fresh ice-grey option always looks refined – if you happen to be facing warmer vennues, it's also the ideal colour choice for keeping cool. To complete your outfit, don some slick black loafers, a corresponding belt and a pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses to neatly tie your look together.

For a more unconventional getup, try deviating away from a classic colour palette. Kick-off your ’fit with a black, navy, pink and cream short-sleeved shirt in an abstract floral print. Again, if you’re dealing with warm weather, short sleeves are the way to go. Pick a grandad-style tweed suit to wear with it to both draw attention to the patterning on your shirt and give your look a retro edge. To finish, rock a pair of polished Oxford shoes to smarten up your style and throw in some vintage-inspired shades to add to the old-school vibe.
