Another year, another fashion season, another set of intrepid sartorialists braving the bitter cold to stand outside shows and flex as if their front row tickets depended on it. Even though it's summer in the Southern Hemisphere, here are a few of the best outfits we spotted at London Fashion Week Men’s '18, perfect for some winter inspiration.

LFWM 2018 STREET STYLE

Dadcore’s been a defining part of the menswear scene for a while now, but if this is the year that our beloved 'chunky sneakers and technical heavy' trend grows up and graduates to grandfather status, we’re all about it. A heritage check trench subtly clashed with a classic pinstripe work shirt are the core of this dude's septuagenarian steez, while tan cords add an all important extra bit of brown. Grandadcore, we love you.
This fella’s got a bit of cool design and technology teacher about him, with his roll-neck, paint-splattered trenchcoat, sensible grey slacks and chunky black trainers. He’ll let you mess about with the fretsaw, but no using the sanding machine without a visor. That’s just dangerous.
With the basic menswear toolkit a more limited affair than the vast arsenal of womenswear options, a dedicated hypebeast sometimes has to signpost his sartorial prowess in more subtle ways – such as proportion. The essential components of this guy’s ‘fit are pretty standard, but check out the Balenciaga trainers (extra chunky), the sunglasses (undersized), the Supreme bag (super tiny) and the blue check overshirt (extra long at the sleeve yet extra short at the waist). Smashed it.
Bright and bold colours are a big deal this season, but some days even the most cutting-edge street styler wants to dial it back in fail-safe black. Days when you’ve got to stand in front of a big colourful wall and don’t want to clash, for instance. In that case, take a cue from this monochrome masterpiece – an all black shearling-lined leather jacket, statement luxe black backpack, black joggers – with just a hint of white piping to lighten the mood – and sneakers.
There’s not a massive amount going on here, but what is going on is going on super stylishly. A staple MA-1 bomber jacker, a neat black beanie, rich red joggers with an on-trend side-stripe, and a pair of bold red sneakers to do some subtle tonal work downstairs. Comfy, cool, clever – what more do you need?
