ZAYN MALIK'S SKATE STEEZ

Having seen Jaden Smith’s style switch-up earlier this week, Zayn produced his own showcase of skate-style proficiency while leaving Gigi’s apartment in New York with his Penny board in hand.

 

It may not have hit Jaden's levels of directional streetwear (tucked-in tees and dad caps), but Zayn did show us how to infuse standard steez with curb-surfing key pieces to brilliant effect.

 

He threw on an oversized Johnny Cash tee for a laid-back start to his kit. Keeping things fail-safe and monochrome, he paired the boxy cut with some slim black jeans and a less-skateboard-appropriate pair of Chelsea boots. A small, orange beanie – perched on top of his head – and round sunglasses may seem like an paradoxical pairing, but it injected a nice hint of colour to Zayn’s otherwise all-black attire.
