3 WAYS TO WEAR

HOW TO WEAR DOUBLE DENIM

With a whole host of new styles, cuts and washes arriving in time for autumn, we thought it only right to show you how to make the most of your jeans. So, we've tackled a sartorial move perceived as one of the boldest – double denim – to bring you three simple yet effective ways to smash maximum jeanage.

Got the blues

The quintessential denim colourway has been reworked recently and a contemporary update has brought about a new range of fresh blue hues. Rather than attempting to replicate Justin Timberlake’s monotone, all-denim-everything getup, add a bit more steez to it with a few loose and laid-back skater vibes - wide-leg jeans, a loose denim overshirt, and cap. And don't forget to roll up your cuffs to show off your pair of fresh canvas kicks.

Canadian custom

If you're the bolder type of Canadian tux-wearer, then go with a customised denim style. Patches, rips and embroidered details are several ways you can personalise your pair of jeans or denim jacket. The trick is to not go too overboard with it – remember, less is more. Go custom on one of your outer denim layers, and pare the look back with a staple white or striped tee. Take notes from ASOS Jono's look, above, and you'll be right as rain.

Blue on black

While black jeans have become a staple piece of every man’s wardrobe in recent years, combining your everyday dark denim pair with a lighter denim layer up top is an easy way to sport double denim on the regular. Use your black jeans as the ultimate base layer, then throw on a classic blue denim shirt or jacket. Then, throw on a pair of monochrome sneakers or brogues to finish the look.
