SUITS FOR A WEDDING ABROAD
By Sam Higgins, 27 April 2017
A destination wedding demands a different type of outfit than the one you'd wear to a typical ceremony. If it’s somewhere exotic, take the chance to give dark wool suits a miss and step out looking swish in linen and lighter-weight fabrics instead. Here are two smart looks that are perfect for weddings overseas.

If you favour a more orthodox approach to formal dressing, this pastel pairing won’t test your limits on the same level as bold prints will, but the holiday palette will feel right at home under the sun in the Tuscan hills or on a beach on Bora Bora (it is, after all, a holiday). In this case, keep things slick and clean in the design of your blazer and trousers, layering a dark printed shirt beneath for a pleasant contrast. A pair of black Derbies and a black belt will break up the pastel tones brilliantly, while a pair of slick shades will complete a look so good, they'll probably mention it in the speeches.

For the more sartorially adventurous, whose travel wares consists of a range of floral shirts, we’ve sorted you a statement suit that channels the same holiday vibe. This leafy, printed take on the traditional black suit is a fresh reworking that'll see you easily stand out among countless black-tie abiders. Layer a pastel shirt underneath to tame the boldness and treat your feet to a pair of brown loafers for a laid-back yet smart feel.
