Why have ASOS not banned leather or wool?

ASOS believes Wool and Leather can be sourced responsibly as a by-product of the meat industry and is committed to working with industry expert groups to support the ongoing research, development and implementation of animal welfare standards and transparency.

ASOS is a member of the Leather Working Group and is working towards sourcing all skins from LWG rated tanneries, to ensure good environmental compliance and traceability. We are also a member of Textile Exchange and support the adoption of the Responsible Wool Standard.

ASOS requires its suppliers to implement industry recognised best practice standards to ensure animal welfare is safeguarded at all times.
