Will I be charged international transaction fees?

It's possible you may be charged an international transaction fee by your bank if you're shopping outside the UK - this charge comes directly from your bank and is outside of our control.

We can't guarantee that when you place your order you will or won't be charged a fee. However, we've found that customers who shop with us in their own local currency seem to be less likely to be charged bank fees.

In order to help avoid you being charged overseas transaction fees, we use ASOS Transaction Services Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 17 160 667) of Level 1, 333 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000 as our billing agent to invoice you and collect payment for your order. That means that you're less likely to be charged transaction fees. You may see their name on your invoice and on your transaction history if you pay by credit or debit card.

We're working behind the scenes to look at ways to reduce the likelihood of being charged international transaction fees and are always looking to improve our payment methods. We hope this will reduce the impact and any costs of these charges.

Until that time, when you shop on ASOS we'd suggest using your local currency if possible.
