This season, the babes at fashion week are falling into two camps. One: the drag-along-behind-ya flare crew, and two: the check-out-my-booties cropped flare clique. Today, we’ll be discussing the latter, cos it's probably the freshest and most modern trouser silhouette we’ve seen for a long time. It began with the Louis Vuitton SS15 velvet numbers, came via the Marques Almeida gals and is now trending at NYFW as the biggest IRL street-style trend and nicked the show at Opening Ceremony's AW15 presentation (pls refer to dream camel kicks in below snap). We’re going to put it down to the bevy of booti-ful booties that are in abundance this season (hence the 'these shoes need to be seen' ankle length) and the die-hard trainer addicts who want to show their Stan Smiths off properly. Make like the street-style babes and wear yours in a straighter (i.e. more flattering fit than the catwalk), in ochres, camels, deep greens, or *sharp intake of breath* white, pair with a cosy bomber jacket and snap up a pair of awkward-length calf boots to rock underneath (or ye olde faithful kicks). Voila, you're now winning at 2015 dressing. The phrase ‘ankle-swingers’ never sounded so sexy.
