Feeling foodie after the Great British Bake Off final? Then lean in: here are three incoming eating and drinking trends you need to know about for 2015...
Pumpkin spiced latte? Well, fine – but it's time to up your game. Lattes might have been around for a while, but for 2015 it's all about ditching the wacky syrups and upping the art-factor, which has been a thing in Japan for some time. If speed rather than flourish is your thing, then keep your eyes peeled for a coffee-ordering app called Square, which has launched in NY and allows you to order a coffee when you're en route to your favourite cafe – so you can pick it up as soon as you walk through the door. Uh. May. Zing.
Burgers have been everywhere in 2014, but for next season they're going mega: and we're not just talking about a GBK opening on your high street. The main culprits? Enter, the Ramen burger (pictured). Like a traditional burger, it's a piece of beef sandwiched between two baps, but UNLIKE its trad ancestor, the bottom and lid of the burger are made of noodles – dafuq?!
The other newcomer to the burger scene is definitely the Kuro, or black burger, straight in from Tokyo. Its distinctively black bun contains smoked charcoal, and McDonalds and Burger King have already launched their own versions.
Being healthy was massive this year, so look out for health 2.0 in 2015...
Kaniwa, it's the new quinoa. Or, since it's a tiny grain, more like quinoa's little sister.
Kind of like the veggie smoothie, vegetable yogurts – think beetroot, carrot and broccoli – are a thing in America, and we reckon they're heading here too.
Seen Elle Macpherson's 'Super Elixir'? It's full of alkalising super greens, which help to reduce your acid levels and are set to be the kale of 2015.
What your choice of coffee says about you.
