After what feels like forever, Lindsay Lohan took to the stage in London's West End yesterday for the opening night of Speed-The-Plow, a play by David Mamet which tells the story of two Hollywood producers, and the secretary who comes between them, played by Lohan. So, cut to the chase: was she good? Well, kinda. It's hard to tell – not least because the crux of the plot sees Lindsay's character, Karen, explain the meaning of a completely bonkers book (with deliberately lunatic lines including, 'the circle and the rectangle are both the triangle'). So, when Karen's explanation didn't make any sense, it was hard to tell if that was Lindsay fluffing her lines or the cray-cray script: certainly none of the audience I chatted to could work it out.
