It’s been quite the year in the style stakes for Rihanna. First off, the Bajan beauty won the CFDA Fashion Awards' Icon Award and (barely) wore that diamanté dress. She then graced the cover of just about every fashion magazine worth its salt. This week alone saw RiRi announcing Trapstar as the official brand designing merchandise for her Monster Tour (which kicked off last night in Pasadena, California) and releasing images from her latest MAC campaign (green hurr never looked so damned good). So we’re kind of not surprised but nonetheless sweaty-palmed with excitement at the news that the gurl’s been taking out several trademarks using her surname Fenty. Sure, RiRi proved her selling power with clothing collabs before (yes, we did queue outside River Island) but we’re talking a straight-up, solo, Rihanna fashion empire. Sound good? Well while we were sleeping, US Vogue reported that she’s taken out trademarks on everything from swimwear to lingerie to make-up (eek). You heard it here first…
