Tattoo lovers and tattoo procrastinators alike, this one's for you: from today until 5 October 2014, London’s Somerset House is hosting a free (and brilliant) exhibition called Time: Tattoo Art Today. You don’t need to have ever set foot in a tattoo parlour to be wowed because the influential artists on show, including Ed Hardy and Horiyoshi III, were challenged to work with any medium or canvas apart from skin. But if you are thinking of getting inked, then there's tons of inspiration to be found.

We fired off a few need-to-know tattoo questions to ink artist Rose Hardy, a New Zealand native who now lives in New York, and whose work just so happens to be our favourite from the exhibition.
