While you were mourning your Christmas hols with a nostalgic browse on Instagram, the music industry dropped some exciting news and releases. Check out these musical tidbits to hopefully help Friday come that little bit sooner.

This morning saw the BBC Sound of 2014 team announce singer Sampha as fourth in the poll. The south London singer/producer extraordinaire has worked with everyone from Jessie Ware to SBTRKT and is currently working on his first solo album. Congrats, babes!

Meanwhile, after premiering new track Luna on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show last night, indie four piece, Bombay Bicycle Club just released the accompanying video, which features some pretty jubilant synchronised swimmers. Well worth a watch. 

Also on Team Tuesday is Annie Clark, aka St. Vincent, who just revealed the track Digital Witness from her self-titled fourth album (due out 24 February). Check out the extremely creepy video/non-video and watch very closely...
