Today sees the release of guilty-pleasure rom-com That Awkward Moment starring Zac Efron (yes, he gets pretty much stark naked), former ASOS Magazine cover girl Imogen Poots and Hollywood's heavy-hitting new boy, Michael B Jordan. Recognise him? That's 'cos the 26-year-old actor has been in The Wire, Friday Night Lights and the critically-acclaimed Fruitvale Station. We grabbed him for a chat.
Your character is going through a divorce in the That Awkward Moment. What's your break-up go-to?
'Staying busy. Your mind and heart are always going to be on that person, so keep doing things you like to do, whether it's eating, travelling or listening to music. Actually, music might get you really, really sad if it reminds you of that person, so maybe not music!'
You're an absolute babe on Instagram. What are your selfie rules?
'I don't really have any rules. You know, once in a while, I just throw it out there for the ladies, honestly. It's not a self-indulgent, vain thing. I don't post that often but if I see something cool, I'll put something up to keep people engaged.'
You're also in Friday Night Lights. Why should we Netflix it?
'It's a really believable show that makes you care about the characters. The relationship between Coach Taylor and his wife (played by Nashville's Connie Britton) is one that most people wish their relationships were like. Plus, you've got some eye candy for everyone – guys and girls. Then you know, I come along in season four, so hopefully that's a good enough reason to get people to watch!'
Have you ever stolen any costumes from set?
'Yeah, of course – all the time! I took my brown leather bomber jacket from Chronicle – it's pretty dope. I also took the beanie and hoodie that I wore as Oscar Grant throughout Fruitvale Station.'
Who do you have a bromance crush on?
'I'm a big fan of Leonardo DiCaprio and I think Paul Dano is really talented, but to say just one… I'm gonna go with Miles Teller (pictured). It was a lot of fun working with him and I respect him as a person and look forward to working with him again. We're the same generation, too. Plus, he just won the Grand Jury Prize for Whiplash at Sundance last week. I'm definitely a fan!'
And, um, finally, where would you take us on a date?
'Somewhere where the pressure isn't just one on one. It's good when you're interacting with other things. Going to a museum is always good.'
