They haven't even hit the shops, yet jackets from the SS14 collection by French fashion house Balmain already have a huge following. Spotted on Rihanna and Blue is the Warmest Colour star Adèle Exarchopoulos (and modelled on the Paris catwalk by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, FYI), it's the oversized houndstooth check, quilting and gold buttons that give them an air of vintage Versace-meets-Chanel-meets-hip-hop cool. According to journalist Melanie Rickey of fashioneditoratlarge.com, 'The bomber-meets-cardigan styling means it's easy to slouch around in. The denim gives it the street factor and, as it's Balmain, it's weighed with bling.' Plus, trophy jackets are totally having a moment – when did you last not wear your biker or satin bomber? Cult.
