HOW TO DO CORKSCREW CURLS

By Maybelle Morgan, 5 September 2017

Who said disco was dead? With the 80s trend showing no signs of going away, what better time to revamp your going-out getup with a glam new ‘do. It’s all about corkscrew curls, bringing major Studio 54 vibes to your Saturday night. Here’s how to get that mane appeal…

1. Wash hair with shampoo and conditioner

2. Towel dry hair until damp

3. Spritz in heat protector and rough dry

4. Section and use hairspray

5. Gently backcomb the roots with a fine-tooth comb

6. Curl sections using a curling wand

7. Repeat over the whole head

8. Crunch a coin-sized amount of hair oil into curls for shine

9. Use fingers to tease and separate curls for a more undone look

10. Fix with a spritz of hairspray
