Save, Spend, Splurge: Snakeskin ankle boots

By Anna Heaton, 3 September 2015

Thanks to Tommy Hilfiger, Isabel Marant and Marni, ankle boots are at the centre of the AW15 shoeniverse, and with 70s being the biggest trend of the season (you've heard us say that before, right?), it's the snakeskin variety that has really set our hearts on fire. If you're not quite ready to splash some serious cash on a catwalk creation, here's our top three that will more than catch your attention, whatever your budget.

These little beauties are as easy on the feet as they are on the eye. Cheap as chips (if you go to a real nice chippy) and totally wearable, this low-heeled pair brings a bit of sass to any outfit or occasion.

Pointed in the front and low in the back, this embellished alternative is oh-so fancy. They'll take you straight from the office to dinner-date plans and while they cost more than a week's worth of Starbucks coffee orders, the good news is you won't need to take out a short-term loan.

Splurge

These are the grown-up answer to your snakeskin-boot prayers and they mean serious business. You might need to hold off purchasing until payday, but they're 100% worth it in echange for a few days' worth of beans on toast (or insert your fave childhood meal here).
