If you hotfoot it around Milan, Rome or any other Italian city then you'll already be familiar with Sisley. Think United Colors of Benetton, but with five times the energy. Sisley used to be the uniform for Vespa riding, twentysomething Italian men with a love of Euro-trance music, but recently it's got itself into stylish shape.
There's a great selection of winter coats (yep, we're already thinking ahead) with block colours close to the hem. Then there's the bird prints that find their way onto T-shirts and knitwear – think a smart take on bohemian-style clothing. If Pete Doherty had matured a bit, this might be his wardrobe. It's a little bit poetic but with a practical twist.
Plus, if you're looking for a good coat to invest in now to prep for the approaching cold, then Sisley might just be your best bet.
