Confession time: we're nursing a bit of a man-crush on Chris Pratt. The 35-year-old first came to our attention as the beyond-excellent Andy in Parks And Recreation, where he had the second-best lines behind the mighty Ron Swanson.

But then he started turning in small but standout performances in acclaimed films including Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty and Her, and it became clear that (to use a thespian term) this dude had range.

So when he was cast in Guardians Of The Galaxy as space hero Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord (think Han Solo meets, well, Andy from Parks And Rec), we were thrilled. He plays the leader of a ragtag bunch of nutters including a vengeful alien, a massive violent tree and a talking racoon with a fondness for heavy artillery.

Together they need to keep one of the infinity stones from falling into the hands of Ronan the Accuser who would then sell it to Thanos, which would be seriously bad news for the entire universe.

But anyway, Pratt is awesome. And he's been proving that while promoting the film, whether it's stopping an interview to prove he can do French braids or holding up a screening so he can take selfies with the fans outside.

He also dresses well in that understated, 'I'm not even trying' kind of way that cool filmstars seem able to do. Here he is rocking a pair of battered biker boots, some classic, slim-fit jeans and a khaki granddad collar T-shirt. Add in a neat blazer to give the whole thing a nice smart/casual vibe and some wicked tortoiseshell Ray-Ban Wayfarers, and you've got an ensemble you'd have to work pretty hard to make look bad.
