As one half of debonair duo Hurts, Theo Hutchcraft is usually parcelled in head-to-toe monochrome, unfailingly well-groomed, and would rather be seen dead than not have his shirt buttoned all the way up. And, as is de rigeour for any band pushing melancholy synth pop, his hair is always scraped into a perfectly, pomade-soaked sweep.

But on a recent jaunt around Beverley Hills with pal and fellow trend-setter Pixie Geldof, Hutchcraft stepped out looking more low key and colourful than usual. In fact, there wasn't sniff of harsh tailoring or black in sight.

We like his off-duty look and are big fans of this rockabilly-inspired shirt, given its potent blood orange hue and relaxed, rolled-up sleeves. Colour blocking like this is the simplest way to inject your look with a bit of personality, as it doesn't require the same level of skill or risk-taking that mixing patterns does.
