With October fast approaching, it’s time to make sure your autumnal attire is fully on point. September has been a lesson in layering and dressing in darker tones, but now’s the prime opportunity to really pull out all the stops for AW17. Here’s how to champion this season’s colours with finesse...

The stark difference between summer and autumn is, of course, the crisp, coppery leaves lining the streets. Pay homage to the period and channel your surroundings by wearing garms in complementary hues.

Don a pair of rust-coloured skate trousers to nail your bottom half, and throw on a simple white T-shirt and vintage-style burgundy cardigan with patterning that's the same shade as your trews to stay slick up top. To really protect yourself from the cold, layer up with a mustard-yellow padded jacket to nicely offset the rest of your 'fit.

Now that you’ve got the foundation sorted, round off your look with serious accessories. The key is to opt for colour pieces that deviate away from your main palette. Go for a grey bumbag and black ankle socks to add subtle variation to your ensemble, then pop on a pair of fresh white Reebok Club C 85s for a laid-back finish.
