When the Kimye Vogue cover dropped last Friday, the whole world let out a collective gasp. It had finally happened. But did you know Vogue actually wasn't the first high-end glossy mag to consider Kim K for its cover – it just beat everyone else to it? According to WWD, both Vanity Fair and Harper's Bazaar wanted the Kardashian sister too. In fact, KK was all set for the February cover of Harper's but dropped out once Anna Wintour made her move. Her trump card? The fact that Kim would get to work with Vogue creative director Grace Coddington and photographer Annie Leibovitz (rather than Terry Richardson who Harper's was using). Well played, AW.
