Enter promo code LETSGO30, LETSGO50, or LETSGO70. Codes expire September 21st, 5pm AEST, 2017. Exclusions may apply. Multiple use per customer up to $950 (pre-discount). Not valid with other promo codes, gift vouchers, delivery charges, ASOS Marketplace, or ASOS Premier Delivery subscription. Where items are returned from orders made with these promo codes, which result in the total value of the order falling below the minimum spend, the items you keep will revert to full price and the refund you receive will be adjusted accordingly. Eg purchase 6 items for $257 and use a $70 off $250 code, you pay $187 ($257 - $70). As the promotion is calculated on total basket size, if you return one item ($63), it takes your total original order to $194. This is $56 under the $250 threshold and means that the $70 discount is no longer valid and you won’t receive a refund for the returned item. It breaks every rule in the fashion book and can be tricky to pull off, but full-blown frocks over trousers are now a thing (yes, we're being serious, and, yes, you'll love it) and the street-style pack are all over the trend. The key? It's a layering bonanza, so whether you're into mega-floaty silhouettes or a more structured vibe, we’ve broken it down...

Loose, breezy steez was the name of the game at Hellessy’s 2017 show, with models sporting silky separates in graphic prints. The priority was comfy, holiday-strolling style as asymmetric dresses were layered over flowing wide-leg trousers. Dreamy.

ASOS Insider Debbie makes the style great for day by swapping out the floaty legs for straight-cut blue jeans. Top tip? If your dress leans on the lengthy side, tuck one side in at your waist. Then elevate the look (literally) with simple heels and, if it’s cold, don’t be scared to make it pop, like Deb, by slipping on some jazzy socks, too.

Try it out

Now you’ve been persuaded, here’s how to ease yourself in. It’s all about playing with proportions and opting for slim-fit jeans under your swinging printed midi for a more subtle style. Monochrome never fails (plus it’s mega flattering), so keep the colour scheme plain and let your unconventional layers do the talking. To finish? Your go-to sneaks will bring the easy-chic but, for fancier plans, pair with statement heeled sandals and a shimmery clutch.
