Back in 1952, when sporting hero Fred Perry launched his first tennis shirt, the only colour option was white. Not ideal for the mucky eaters and colour fans among us. But over the years, the Perry aesthetic has evolved to offer a range of styles, meeting people's demands for threads with a bit more personality.
And so in 2014, Fred Perry has released a range of breathable, lightweight shirts, inspired by – wait for it – deckchairs! Yes, this might sound daft, but actually this collection proves that colourful stripes are very much worth wearing – furniture references aside.
Here are a few of our favourite FP items on site at the moment. Probably best to wear yours with a Mr Whippy ice cream in hand and a bucket hat on your bonce. (Or, you know, under a knit or five.)
