Meet the British designers who’ll be adding the crowning glory to your look. Download your favourite crown (or all four) from the link below, wear it, snap it and share it.

House of Holland

Those ‘fashion groupie’ T-shirts may have been the catalyst, but a love of clashing colour, irreverent take on tartan and cool London girl aesthetic has amassed Henry Holland his own cult following (Alexa Chung, BFF Aggy Deyn and Jessie J are all avid fans). If he was allowed to be king for the day, Henry would like to have his portrait painted by his favourite artists.

Julie Verhoeven

Designer, illustrator and creative director, multi-talented Julie Verhoeven has worked with everyone from Louis Vuitton to Primal Scream and most recently immortalised Princess Diana in a series of signature watercolour drawings showcased at Kensington Palace. As queen for the day, Julie would let the Royals have a rebellious day off. She would grant them full permission to do devilish, common things, run amok and have a right royal time with no consequences.

Preen

Always a magpie when it comes to spying the coolest talent, Kate Moss was a fan of Preen’s original boutique on Portobello Road, but it wasn’t long before the design duo’s hi-lo mix of deconstructed pieces with an ultra-modern edge was snapped up by A-listers on both sides of the pond. Now one of NYFW’s hottest tickets, Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi have little left to conquer. They would make an exception as rulers for the day though, and give everyone else the day off.

Danielle Scutt

Frida Kahlo, Peggy Guggenheim and Tupac are just some of the muses behind Central St. Martins phenom Danielle Scutt’s fiercely feminine yet youthful designs. The London-born designer may have hot-footed it to the Big Apple for her next fashion reign, but if HRH and co needed a day off, she’d happily step up and walk the corgis – off the lead of course!
